At Absolute Paving Inc, we offer Asphalt Milling Machine Rentals to other companies in the Greater Baltimore area. We also own and operate our own Lowboy and Tractor to transport this machine to and from the jobsite.

This milling machine is capable of milling up to 120 tons of asphalt per hour, depending on conditions, jobsite size, dimensions and depth of cut. Our milling services come with our milling machine, operator and groundsperson to direct dump truck drivers.

FAQ About Our Milling Services

What can you expect from us?
A World Class Milling machine- well known for its quality and durability.  We show up with professional equipment, on time and ready to work.  Our milling contracts cover 8 hours of time, with hourly charges after that.  We mill in Baltimore County, Carroll County, Harford County, Howard County, Cecil County, Frederick County, Montgomery County, PG County, Anne Arundel County, and even Washington DC.  We do NOT offer milling services in Virginia, or Pennsylvania at this time, but are considering adding these areas to our service area in the future.

What does the Milling Rental Service cost?

Our costs are competitive with milling rentals in the area, most times being less, while offering the quality and attention to detail you can expect from a smaller, family owned operation.  We are not a huge corporation where customers are numbers.  We are family, and we treat our customers like family as well.  We charge a flat fee for our milling services which cover 8 hours of milling.  Anything over 8 hours is billed at a per hour rate, not to exceed 12 hours.

Is travel time included with the Milling Rental?

This is job dependent.  Depending on the job location, travel time may be included in the rental rate, or may be charged separately.  This will be clearly notated on the contract prior to work beginning.

What is needed to hire Absolute Paving Inc to mill Asphalt ?

We will need the exact details of the job to include sq footage, depth of milling, exact location of the job and start and stop times.  We will also go over details as far as water supply, travel etc.  A contract will be drawn up which will need to be signed and returned before work can be scheduled and start.

What do I need to supply?

You will need to supply dump trucks for the milling machine to feed into.  You will also need to have people on the ground and in skid steers to clean the ends of the mill runs to ensure the mill operator can see the start and stop points to get a clean mill job, as well as ensure a safe work site.  Traffic control if required is up to the hiring company.  We supply only the mill, operator and grounds person to assist the operator and direct the dump trucks backing up the mill.

How about payment? What are your terms?

Payment for our milling rental services is as follows: For first time customers – a credit card must be placed on file before milling services can be rendered upon successful execution of the contract.  Once milling is completed, an invoice will be sent via email.  Payment is late after 15 calendar days from the date the invoice is emailed. At 16 days, the credit card on file will be run for the full invoice amount, along with a 8% surcharge which includes a  late fee and credit card surcharge.  If the first rental payment is late all subsequent rentals will have to be paid in full prior to work being done until such time that satisfactory payment history is established. For repeat customers with no late payments the terms are NET 15 days, payable by check or Credit Card, though Credit Card payments do incur a 3% convenience surcharge.

Can the Milling Machine be used on driveways too?

Yes!  We often use the Mill on long common driveways, where the base is suitable for overlay, but the top section is alligator cracked and needs to be skimmed.  Large patching is also well suited to a milling machine and becomes an invaluable resource to paving contractor, saving both time and money.
